Education

I have graduated from FSU Economics department with a BA in Economics with a 3.8 GPA from relevant Economic classes and with a Math minor. I am currently attending graduate school at Babel University -- Professional School of Translation in English/Japanese. I have worked at Aijinkai Medical Corporation in Osaka, Japan. -I have taught English to non native speakers. -I have done interpretation across different culture. I have passed the JLPT 2 exam and am going to take JLPT 1 this December.

Experience

I have tutored students from my classes, both in high school and in college. At FSU I took courses in principles of macro economics, principles of micro economics, Finance, money, and banking in the economy, Intermediate microeconomic theory, Intermediate Macro theory, Econometrics, Business organizations management economics, Economics of Asia, International trade, and Experimental Economics. I also have knowledge in Mathematics up to Calculus. I will also tutor many other subjects, I just need to know what needs to be taught and I can usually learn it and teach it in an easy manner that will explain what is important. I also have a multi cultural background with my father being cuban and my mother russian. I know 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese) with Japanese as my most proficient language. I've been interested in Japanese culture since I was a little boy and have been studying Japanese for many years now. After graduating college, I worked in Osaka, Japan doing translation in a Medical Corporation in a hospital. I want to be a tutor in order to bestow my knowledge to those who are looking to improve themselves and advance in life. Gaining skills (learning) is vital to being successful. While many people wish to simply complete a course and don't care about the contents (This is okay depending on time constraints), I believe that truly learning the information and using it for the long run is what is truly important. I like to go above and beyond expectations, but I also want my students to be satisfied with what they wish to achieve.

Hobbies

I consider myself as a highly motivated student of life who likes to expand and broaden my interests all the time. I find different cultures (especially Japanese) very intriguing and am also interested in playing sports and acting/competing in various forms of competitions. Be it theater or basketball, or even math, I always find the most challenging things in the world the most rewarding and pride myself in always learning new things. I believe that you choose how you want your world to become. Information and communication is the key to opening doors to many worlds one normally doesn't have access to. I believe that learning the language is the first step to helping us understand each other. The world is very complicated but there are endless possibilities due to those complications! I enjoy teaching others how amazing it is to learn, and how practical learning really is. I hope to bestow as much information to my students as possible to help them grow and reach their target goal.
